I was married for 38 years to the girl I met as a freshman in high school. We lost her to a rare blood disease 11 years ago. I have two children and eight grandchildren, six of whom were adopted as foster children, and I love them all dearly.

I have been retired for the last few years and spend my time sailing my sailboat, doing cabinetwork in my shop, and traveling. I am extremely active and thoroughly enjoy life.

I exercise almost daily and keep myself slender and trim, and I am in excellent health. It is important for me to find a lady who feels the same way. I also like to eat healthy although I can barely contain my sweet tooth.

I love humor and making people laugh. I think we are closest to God when we laugh, and we are certainly closer to each other. I don’t like drama in relationships and I rarely lose my patience with others (inanimate objects might be a different story). I think that a relationship needs some basic chemistry, but that honesty, regular communication, and mutual respect are important characteristics of any relationship. My late wife and I had many differences of opinion, but never really fought. We could always work things out without acrimony or anger.

I am looking for a long-term relationship with someone who would like to share a life together.
