I am an East Coast girl at heart having lived in Washington, D.C. growing up. I love NPR (National Public Radio), Bill Maher and the Big Bang Theory to name a few things. I admit I am a reality tv junkie. I adore books and love spending time searching for new reads on Amazon or at a book store. I enjoy a wide variety of music from Yo Yo Ma to Eric Clapton. Anything having to do with the ocean makes me happy. I love salt water, sandy beaches and seafood! I love anyone that makes me laugh including my niece Haley who can make me laugh until I hurt.

I am not a big bar person. I enjoy checking out new restaurants and theatres. I love comedy and enjoy seeing live comedy acts. I enjoy going to Ravinia during the summer and relaxing on the lawn. But would be content hanging out in the backyard grilling and enjoying some laughs and good company. I am pretty independent so I appreciate someone that will give me my space but can be comfortable hanging out and reading the newspaper together over a cup of coffee or bloody mary. I like doing things outside but not a big athlete as I blew my knee out playing volleyball in my twenties. Love a good conversation about politics, news items etc. I will respect anyone's opinion as long as they can back it up with facts. Big fan of Rachel Maddows which should give you a good idea where I stand politically. I am far from old fashion but I enjoy cooking a good meal for someone I care about. Family is very important to me - blessed with great siblings and parents. I have a vast background having worked in finance/banking, education and social work. I like a good challenge that makes me think!
